Abstract submission
Abstract Submissions for the International Session
- The JSME invites abstracts of original papers covering any topic in health professions education.
- Papers may include original research (comprehensive or pilot studies), research reviews, case studies, educational techniques, and so on. Papers will be presented either in the form of an on-demand presentation or an interactive live discussion, depending on the preference of the authors and the decision upon review by medical education experts and JSME Internationalization Committee members.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
Eligibility
- When submitting abstracts from abroad, the first author (or presenter) does NOT need to be a JSME member. However, for submitting abstracts from within Japan, the first author (or presenter) is required to have JSME individual membership.
Character limit for abstracts
- The limit is 100 characters for the title and 1,800 characters for the body of the abstract.
Interactive live discussion session
- Presentations for inclusion in the interactive live discussion session should be pre-recorded and registered in advance and will be played on the day. For live discussions, time for questions will be provided during the conference on the assumption that the video is viewed beforehand.
- If you wish to submit an abstract for inclusion in the interactive live discussion session, you will be asked to enter up to two "discussion points" of up to 300 characters each in addition to the conventional entry fields.
- Web participants will have the opportunity to ask questions appropriately. On the day, the content of the presentation will be evaluated, and prizes will be awarded to the top three presenters.
On-demand presentation session
