Join each conference day at your convenience. To enhance your live participation options we will work with a 12-hours official programme each day which will give you multiple chances to meet and engage in discussions with your colleagues during panel/roundtable sessions and informal meetings, establish new connections and enjoy arts- and crafts events, Kyoto-based activities and documentaries on Asia. The online conference platform will stay open 24-hours a day to give you the opportunity to view and catch up on the on-demand material and to join the networking lounge for further discussion and casual conversations with participants of different time zones.

The official 12-hour programme will be scheduled according to Kyoto time between 13.00–1.00. Please check a time zone converter for the live session times at your location.


Presentations and Live Discussions

All paper presenters are asked to pre-record a 15-minute presentations. These pre-recorded presentations will be made available as of 10 August to give all participants the opportunity to browse and watch the different presentations before the start of the live conference. The presentations will stay available until 15 October 2021 to give participants the chance to catch up on presentations even after the official conference dates.

The live one-hour panel and roundtable sessions during the conference dates are designed to focus on discussion. Panel participants and audience can watch the pre-recorded presentations before joining the live sessions. These sessions will consist of short recaps of 3-5 minutes of each presentation, which will be followed by a longer lively discussion, exchange, collaboration and Q&A. To enable free discussion these live panel sessions will not be recorded.

Live conference platform

We are pleased to give you a glimpse of the online conference platform that will be used for the live experience, To get an impression of the variety of possibilities on the platform, please view this impression flyer that we have prepared for you. The platform will be fully customised and transformed to give an ICAS 12 Kyoto look and feel.

Platform security

The pre-recorded presentations and live content on the EventScribe Live platform and on the platform will only be available to registered participants. It will not be possible to download the pre-recorded presentations. In addition, all registered participants are also expected to comply to the ICAS 12 Audio and Video Recording Policy.
