Oral presentation guide
  • Total duration for one slot is 15 min (12 min for presentation time and 3 min for Q&A)
  • Online (real-time) and On-site presentations will be recorded by the organizers for on-demand sharing from10 to 18 July 2021. The on-demand system will allow viewers and presenters to interact and discuss on a non-real time manner (asynchronous)
  • On-site presentation: Please bring your presentation slides 20 minutes before your session to the room which you will present.
    If you have uploaded your presentation slides, we keep it as a backup.
    Time keeper (in person)will assist you.
  • Online presentation: Please share your presentation slides by yourself.
    If you have uploaded your presentation slides, we keep it as a backup.
    Time counter will appear in one of the Zoom’s participant screen.
  • On demand presentation only: We will play your recorded presentation video. Please upload your presentation video (max. 15 min) to the online system during 24 May and 18 June 2021.
  • The video should not be longer than 12 min.
  • The file format should be MP4, its recommended quality 720p(1280x720), and its size less than 500 MB.
Oral presentation session

Oral presentation videos will be available on-demand from 10 July to 18 July, 2021.

Poster presentation guide

There will be no on-site poster presentation.
Online posters will be presented as slides. Please follow the next instruction when preparing your slides:

  • The slide size should be set to ‘Widescreen (16:9)’.
  • The number of slides is limited to 16 slides.
  • The format for submission is PDF and its size less than 50 MB.
  • If you are registered for Best Poster Presentation Award (BPPA), submit a presentation video following the instructions below (required).
  • If you are NOT registered for BPPA, submission of the video is optional.

For participants that will submit a video for Poster Presentation:

  • The video should not be longer than 3 min.
  • The file format should be MP4, its recommended quality 720p(1280x720), and its size less than 500 MB.

How to promote your poster with your video:

  • Your video will be posted on the online poster session page along with your poster.
  • Poster presentation viewing is scheduled at 11:30-12:30 every day. If you enter Poster presentation viewing, your presentation video will be broadcasted. If you wish to do so, please check the "Poster presentation viewing : entry" box when you submit your video. The number of entrants will be limited to 20 per day and 60 for 3 days; if the number exceeds 60, the organizing committee will select the entrants.
  • In the case of a hybrid event, a booth will be set up at the local venue to broadcast the poster session videos. All the submitted videos will be broadcasted here.
  • As mentioned above, the poster video promotes your poster and helps people understand your research. We strongly encourage you to create a video.

Field Trip

Field trip will be provided for visiting the Tohoku region including disaster-affected areas to learn about the March 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and ongoing efforts towards reconstruction. Please see below for the details and select one to apply.
