How to Get to Toyama?

Toyama is conveniently accessible from major cities in Japan by air and rail.

By Train

The city is served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen, providing direct access from Tokyo in approximately 2 hours. Travelers can also reach Toyama easily from Kanazawa, Nagano, and other major destinations.

By Air

For travelers arriving from Tokyo, direct flights are available from Haneda Airport to Toyama Airport.
From Narita Airport, Toyama can also be reached by Shinkansen.

From Haneda Airport (HND)

1. Fly Haneda → Toyama Airport
Domestic flight, about 1 hour. Several departures each day.

2. Toyama Chihō Railway airport bus to Toyama Station
About 30 minutes. Buses meet arriving flights.

3. Arrive at Toyama Station
The city center, trams and hotels are right outside the station.
All conference venues are within 1 km of Toyama Station.

1. Haneda→ Tokyo Station by Airport Limousine Bus
Airport Limousine Bus, about 30-40 mins.

2. Tokyo → Toyama by Shinkansen
Hokuriku Shinkansen, about 2 h 10 min – 2 h 40 min. “Kagayaki” is the fastest service.

From Narita Airport (NRT)

No flights connect Narita to Toyama Airport — please come to Toyama by Shinkansen from Tokyo Station.

1. Narita → Tokyo Station by Narita Express (N'EX)
A limited express train, about 1 hour. Airport buses also run to Tokyo Station.

2. Tokyo → Toyama by Shinkansen
Hokuriku Shinkansen, about 2 h 10 min – 2 h 40 min. “Kagayaki” is the fastest service.
