Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great honor to serve as the Congress President of the Asian Pacific Society for Dialysis Access (APSDA) 2026, which will be held from October 2 to 4, 2026, at the Osaka International Convention Center (Grand Cube Osaka). The first day will feature hands-on workshops, followed by two days of scientific sessions. On behalf of the APSDA 2026 Organizing Committee, I extend my warmest greetings to all participants.

My journey in dialysis access began in 1995, around the time when percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) was emerging in clinical practice. I performed my first PTA in 1999, and since then, I have been deeply engaged in renal replacement therapy and dialysis access management for over three decades. Around 2015, I began participating in international activities-giving lectures and performing procedures in various countries. These experiences have been truly fascinating, revealing how dialysis access management differs widely among nations due to variations in available devices, healthcare systems, and reimbursement structures.

International meetings such as APSDA provide an invaluable opportunity to learn how different countries manage dialysis access and to reflect on our own practices from new perspectives. I sincerely hope that this congress will promote meaningful exchange and inspire new ideas for improving dialysis access care across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year, APSDA 2026 will be held jointly with JSDA 2026 (the Japanese Society for Dialysis Access), featuring many collaborative sessions that highlight the Japanese style of dialysis access management. We have also designed our conference website with a touch of Japanese aesthetics, and we hope you will enjoy its "Wa" spirit.

We look forward to welcoming you to Osaka-the city of gourmet food, laughter, and warm hospitality.
See you in Osaka!

Warm regards,
