CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• The abstract submission period is from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, December 25, 2026 (JST).
• Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation only.
• All submissions must be completed online via the official Abstract Portal. Submissions by fax, email, or post will not be accepted.
• Do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
• Abstracts previously presented at other congresses will not be considered.

ABSTRACT TOPICS

Regarding submission, authors must select one main category (Pediatric, Thoracic, Aorta, Adult, Others) and one corresponding sub-category.

Remarks

• An abstract must be submitted along with each surgical video submission.
• Information for all authors involved in the submission must be entered via the online submission process. The identity of the authors, institutions and/or names of hospitals should be excluded from the surgical video submission.
• The surgical video may not exceed 8 minutes in length or 100 MB.
• All surgical videos must be submitted in .mov, .avi, or wmv format. If you do not submit your video in one of these formats, it will not be forwarded for review.
• Sound of video should be included for review.
• If the surgical video is selected, live narration by the presenting author is required for participation in the video session on site.

CONFIRMATION OF NOTIFICATION OF DECISION

• Notification of abstract status will be sent around March 2027.

PRESENTATION AT THE CONGRESS

• The Program Committee will make every effort to accommodate the presenter's preferences however the final decision of presentation type and program schedule will be completely depending on the program committee.
• At least the first author of accepted abstracts must register and complete payment by the registration deadline. Otherwise, the abstract may be withdrawn from the program.

PREPARING YOUR ABSTRACT FOR SUBMISSION

Abstracts should be concise and informative, covering the following:

Objectives - Background and aims

Methods - Brief methods used

Results - Summary of key findings

Conclusion - Main conclusions

Word limit: 300 words (excluding title and author information).
Only standard abbreviations should be used. Uncommon abbreviations must be spelled out at first use.
All submissions must be written in clear, grammatically correct English. If necessary, please have your abstract reviewed by a native English speaker or professional editor prior to submission.
Abstracts must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for the Scientific Program.

AWARDS

For ASCVTS 2027, several awards will be presented.
First authors of abstracts selected for an award are required to give their presentation on-site during the meeting and must bring a valid photo ID that verifies their age.

DECLARATION OF CONSENT TO PUBLICATION & COPYRIGHT

• Abstracts cannot be edited or withdrawn after the submission deadline.
• Submission implies consent from all listed authors for publication in official congress materials (e.g., website, program book, promotional content).
• The Submitter affirms that the content does not infringe upon any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
• The Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, translate, and distribute the abstract text.
• The Submitter is responsible for informing all co-authors about the submission status.
• The Organizers reserve the right to remove any abstract that violates these terms.
