Applicants should be a member of ASCVTS, and the first author of the abstract must be a presenter of either an oral or poster presentation.

The award will be given to the best paper related to the Cardiovascular domain.

The finalists will be selected by the ASCVTS 2027 scientific committee based on the peer review of the content of the submitted abstracts and present their work at the "Furuse Award” Session. The finalists must complete his/her registration with full payment by the pre-registration deadline and should submit his/her manuscript of the full paper to Asian Annals.

Those manuscripts will be provided to discussants before the award presentation at ASCVTS 2027 and will be published in Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals after the presentation. The winning paper will be published in the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery simultaneously.

The winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner and will receive an honorarium of USD 1,000. This prize honorarium is given only when the manuscript has been submitted.

• Eligible candidates must be under 40 years of age as of April 30, 2027.
• Candidates selected for consideration for this award will be notified prior to the congress that they have been selected as award candidates.
• If selected as a recipient of the award, candidates will be required to present valid identification at the congress venue to verify their age.
