The 32nd Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery

Greeting Message

Akihiko Tsuchida, M.D., Ph.D., FACS
Congress Chairman,
The 32nd Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery
Department of Gastrointestinal and Pediatric Surgery
Tokyo Medical University

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 32nd Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery (JSHBPS) that will be held from February 23rd (Tuesday) to 24th (Wednesday), 2021 in Tokyo.

JSHBPS was established in 1989 as Japan Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery Forum, which has now become an international HBP surgical society with over 2000 HBP surgeons participating every year. We will be organizing various sessions such as minimally invasive surgery based on accurate anatomy, advanced surgical techniques, new guidelines, educational systems, expert consensus meeting, and unedited video session. We hope that many surgeons—from surgical instructors to young surgeons who will be leading the next generation—will get to learn a lot through discussions with the experts from all around the world.

The theme of this congress is "Advanced HBP surgery." We hope to share the latest surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery, AI, imaging technology, and advanced surgical instruments during this congress.

As the Tokyo Olympics will be held in July 2020, this congress will be held while Tokyo is full of international colors. We look forward to welcoming you.
