Within just a few hundred meters square, Noge is a food wonderland with a wide variety of restaurants such as izakaya, local dishes of Japan (sushi, eel, fugu, yakitori, skewers, teppanyaki), restaurants, dining bars, Chinese ramen, light meals, cafes, snack bars, pubs, etc.

Zen experience at Sojiji head monastery

Overview

The history began in 1321, when “Taiso” Keizan Zenji renamed “morookadera” in Ishikawa prefecture to ‘Shogakusan Sojiji’. Sojiji was relocated from Ishikawa to Yokohama city due to a large fire accident in Meiji era. Sojiji was established as an international primary temple of Soto Zen with easy access.
When you step into the vast and green precincts of about 500,000 square meters, you can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. At Sojiji Temple, which is famous as an international Zen dojo, please spend a quiet time through Zen worship. After the zazen experience, you will have lunch at a long-established tonkatsu restaurant in Yokohama.
