  3. All abstracts must not conflict with the Ethical Codes of the Japanese Society of Child Neurology to protect privacy of patients. For all studies dealing with experimental work involving human subjects, specify that informed consent was obtained following a full explanation of the procedure(s) undertaken. Patients should be referred to by number; do not use real names, initials or hospital numbers. Also, the design of special scientific research (e.g. genetic research and regenerative medicine) should be approved by the ethical committee of the institution, and the approval status should be clearly stated in the abstract. The institutional approval may not be required for genetic testing primarily for a diagnostic purpose. When submitting abstracts, please be along with the ethical rules regarding personal information related to patients. If you use videos or photo images of patients, please be sure to pay careful attention to ethical codes and to obtain permission from the patient(s) (or, when applicable, the next of kin).
  4. Duplicate reports are not accepted in the 66th Annual Meeting of JSCN. All abstracts strictly adhere to this policy. The contents of the abstract must not have been presented at any previous conference or event. However, it does not apply to 1) the presentations by a special request in the meeting (e.g. special lectures, symposia, workshops, seminars), 2) reports in different languages, 3) reports of already published contents, or 4) reports presented at research group meetings.
When your abstract may have a possibility of duplicate presentation, you should inform the Secretariat of the 66th Annual Meeting of JSCN regarding the possibility of duplicate presentation with clear indication of the name and date of the corresponding meeting, the title of the previous presentation, and reasons of the second report.
  5. Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.
