Call for Plenary Speakers
The Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery is accepting submissions for plenary speakers. Proposals will be screened on the basis of academic excellence and high originality, and selected speakers will receive a Presidential Award in the certificate of commendation and extra prize.
Selected speakers will be announced at the session, and original papers of the speeches must be submitted to the Society’s official Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences (JHBPS) within two months following the Annual Meeting.

Please indicate if you would like to present in other sessions in case you are not selected for the plenary session.
Word count
In principle, title, speaker (co-speakers') name(s) and affiliations, abstract, body text, cited literature, tables & figures should be within 2,000 words combined. One table/figure equivalents to 200 words.

In the Body Text section, indicate each citation using the number and parenthesis only. Cited literature should be listed in Cited Literature section.

Selection by the Scientific Committee of the JSHBPS - Late November Late December
Notification to the selected applicants - On the day of the congress.
Three selected applicants will speak at the plenary session during the 34th Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery, and will receive the President's Award during the JSHBPS General Assembly. - After the congress to August 31, 2022 (only for plenary session presenters)
Original manuscript should be submitted to the Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences.

- Even if the manuscript has been rejected by the Journal, the President's award will not be revoked.
Conditions of COI (Conflict of Interest)
Both the principal presenter and co-presenters must disclose conflicts of interest. The party responsible for the presentation (the principal presenter or Corresponding Speaker) shall report on all COI matters on behalf of the presenters.

When submitting the Proceedings
Presenters and lecturers at the 34th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery should use this “Disclosure of COI” form to provide information that ought to be disclosed pertaining to conflicts of interests with companies or organizations. Once filled out, sign the form and send it to the Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery via email (info[A]jshbps[D]jp ( Please change [A] to @ and [D] to . )) or fax (+81-3-3356-4381).
(This COI report will be kept in storage for two years after your presentation.)
On the day of the congress
Any conflicts of interest clearly indicated at the time of abstract submission should be disclosed during the presentation, either at the beginning of presentation slides or at the end of the poster.
