Call for Final Judges for the 85th Annual Meeting of the Japan Radiological Society Awards

Purpose of Recruitment

The 85th Annual Meeting of the Japan Radiological Society recognizes outstanding academic achievements through its awards program. To ensure a fair and transparent evaluation of excellent research, we are publicly recruiting final judges for the society's awards, who will be responsible for judging oral presentations during the Annual Meeting.

Number of Positions

  • Three final judges for the Best Abstract Awards (Best Research Presentation Awards) session.
  • Three final judges for the Young Investigator Awards and Medical Trainee Recognition Awards session. Total: 6 judges (The Executive Committee will determine the assignment of judges to each session).

Eligibility (All conditions must be met)

  • Must be a member of the Japan Radiological Society.
  • Must have experience in peer-reviewing academic papers.
  • Must be able to attend the relevant sessions at the venue on Friday, April 17, 2026, to serve as a judge.

Roles and Responsibilities of Judges

  • To review and provide a fair and appropriate evaluation of the research presentations.
  • To ask questions to the presenters during the final review and evaluate their presentations.
  • To submit the judging results to the society.

Selection Process

  • The Executive Committee will conduct a document screening based on the application materials.
  • The Executive Committee will select the final judges, taking into account the research fields of the abstracts selected for the final review, the areas of expertise of the three judges recommended by the JRS Academic Committee, and the applicants' fields of expertise. The selection will be subject to approval by the JRS Academic Committee.
