Eligibility

  • In principle, the presenting author must be a regular JRS member as of the abstract submission deadline. Please ensure your membership application is completed by this date.
  • However, clinical residents, medical students, medical school graduates, and international students are eligible to submit an abstract without being a regular member. A letter of recommendation from a supervising board-certified diagnostic or therapeutic radiologist (and a confirmation of student status for international students) must be sent to the Japan Radiology Congress (JRC) office via email (jrc [A] asahi [D]email [D]ne [D]jp( Please change [A] to @ and [D] to . )).
  • Furthermore, for individuals affiliated with overseas medical institutions, neither regular membership nor a letter of recommendation is required for abstract submission. However, strict measures will be taken against the intentional withdrawal of an abstract after acceptance or failure to present at the venue (no-show) for the sole purpose of building a record of academic achievement.
  • Submissions without a JRS membership number will be considered non-member submissions.
  • Separate registration for the annual meeting is required for all presenters. If registration is not confirmed, the acceptance of the abstract will be revoked and the submission will be rejected.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

  • A maximum of 10 co-authors, including the presenting author, is strongly recommended. The system allows up to 19 co-authors to accommodate large-scale multi-institutional studies.
  • The abstract body must be written entirely in English, with a word limit of 250 words. Do not include the title, affiliations, or author names within the abstract body.
  • JRS85 will not provide English proofreading services. Authors are solely responsible for the proofreading of their abstracts.
  • Abstracts for General Research Presentations should be structured with standard sections such as “Objective,” “Materials and Methods,” “Results,” and “Conclusion.”
  • As a general rule, characters not compliant with JIS Level 1 and Level 2 standards cannot be used.
  • For submissions from Japan, please enter the title, affiliation, and first author's name in Japanese in addition to the English information.
  • Please register the affiliation of the first author only. It is not necessary to enter the affiliations of co-authors. In the abstract book and conference application, author affiliations will be published using the abbreviated forms you provide. Please check the examples of abbreviations at the links below and ensure your entry is correct. The organizing committee reserves the right to amend affiliations that do not conform to the specified examples. We appreciate your understanding.
