Message from Congress President

Congress President Takuji Gotoda
Chief of Upper Gastrointestinal Medicine, Cancer Institute Hospital, Ariake
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude for your continued support.
I am pleased to announce that the 11th APGCC will be held on March 5th (Thursday) and 6th (Friday), 2026, at the Okinawa Convention Center (Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture).
The APGCC is a biannual conference that brings together clinicians, surgeons, and pathologists from the Asia-Pacific region to share the latest knowledge and research findings in the fields of gastric cancer, junctional cancer, and esophageal cancer. The congress aims to foster stimulating new collaborations and partnerships. The 10th APGCC will be held in Singapore in 2024, and the 12th in Vancouver in 2028.
This year's conference will be held jointly with the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association (Prof. Kei Muro, Congress President of JGCA2026, Department of Clinical Oncology, Aichi Cancer Center Hospital). We are expecting more than 3,000 participants, leveraging the synergistic effects of both events.
President Muro and I have been classmates since junior high school and studied together at the National Cancer Center. We are both well-acquainted and deeply committed to this cause. While our combined efforts are limited, we are making every effort to create a meeting that allows all participants to engage with the latest knowledge and have meaningful discussions.
As you are aware, the operating costs of this event are primarily funded by participant fees. However, the actual costs exceed these fees, and to ensure the content of the congress is enriched and its outcomes maximized, we must seek support from various sources. While we are grateful for your ongoing support, both in terms of financial and other assistance, we respectfully ask for your continued generosity to help us make this conference a success.
In closing, I sincerely wish for the continued growth and prosperity of your company.
Respectfully yours,
