The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japan Biliary Association,The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japan Biliary Association

Call for Abstracts

This annual meeting will welcome abstract submissions on a wide range of topics in biliary science from overseas. In addition, you will also submit the abstracts for the two international video sessions. We look forward to your participation.

Abstract Submission Period

February 3 (Tuesday) – March 31 (Tuesday) at 12:00PM (JST)

Session Theme

  • Video Session 1
Minimally Invasive Surgery for Biliary Diseases

MIS for biliary tract diseases has steadily advanced and is now widely adopted. In Japan, laparoscopic procedures for gallstones, cholecystitis, CBD stones, Kasai portoenterostomy, extrahepatic bile duct resection for pancreaticobiliary maljunction, gallbladder bed resection for gallbladder cancer, and pancreaticoduodenectomy for distal bile duct cancer are currently performed under national health insurance coverage. With the introduction of robot-assisted surgery, further expansion of indications and surgical procedures is anticipated in the near future. In this session, based on video presentations by experts, including international speakers, we will discuss the feasibility of a wide variety of procedures, including those not yet covered by the Japanese insurance system.

  • Video Session 3
New Modalities and Devices in Cholangioscopic Diagnosis and Treatment

Biliary endoscopic diagnosis and therapy has evolved steadily, and it is fair to say that this progress has been driven by advances in modalities and devices. Innovation continues, and further ingenuity and development will be essential for the next stage of progress. We sincerely welcome video presentations on any topic in biliary endoscopy, particularly those featuring new modalities, novel devices, or creative applications that may shape future practice. Submissions may range from clinical studies to early exploratory work, including pilot experiences, small case series, or experimental approaches, provided that the rationale and key messages are clear. Let’s share fresh ideas, spark lively discussion, and create new knowledge together.
